Progressive Opens New Service Center in Clearwater, Fla.
Nov. 30, 2006 — The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies, the third largest auto insurance group in the country and fourth largest in Florida, opens a Service Center in the Clearwater area offering a new level of service that reduces drivers' time spent dealing with accident repairs from about four days to about 15 minutes. Progressive's new Clearwater Service Center offers Progressive Direct® and Drive® Insurance from Progressive customers, as well as anyone involved in a claim with them, the choice of using a "concierge" level of claims service in which Progressive manages the claims/repair process from start to finish on their behalf.
The new Service Center is located at 4021 Tampa Road in Oldsmar. Today, 53 Progressive Service Centers are open in the U.S. including eight in Florida.
While Service Centers are available for repairable cars, there's another concierge level of claims service available to Florida drivers for cars declared total losses. Called Total Loss Concierge, Progressive helps find a replacement car if a vehicle is declared a total loss after an accident — that is, if the damaged car would cost more to fix than it's worth.
Both services drastically reduce the amount of time each driver has to spend repairing or replacing his or her car after a crash.
