Local Agent Wins All Terrain Vehicle in Contest Sponsored by Drive Insurance from Progressive
MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio — September 28, 2004 — It's not everyday that an insurance company shows up at your job to surprise you with a brand new All Terrain Vehicle (ATV). But that's exactly what happened to Ray Lambert of the Roseau Agency in Biddeford, Maine. Lambert was the winner of Drive Insurance from Progressive's ATV give-away contest in Maine.
"It was so surprising to see my Drive territory sales manager show up with the ATV," Lambert said. "I really wasn't expecting it at all."
To be eligible to win the 2004 Honda Four Trax Rancher 4X4 ES ATV, agents had to register on Drive's agency-dedicated Web site, ForAgentsOnly.com (FAO). They also had to submit at least one new ATV or motorcycle policy application during the contest period, which ran from July 5 to August 27, 2004. Each new application was an entry, and the winner was selected at random.
"We weren't trying to win the contest," Lambert explained. "We just quote Drive all of the time because of the competitive pricing and ease of quoting."
The contest, which only took place in Maine, was created to showcase Drive's ATV insurance product features and to encourage agents to explore the profitable growth opportunities of the ATV market.
Drive's specialized product is designed to protect ATV owners' investment and includes:
- Recreational Use and Off-Premises Coverage — provides liability and physical damage coverage for virtually any purpose or location.
- Liability Coverage — Drive offers limits of liability up to $500,000.
- ATV Custom Parts or Equipment Coverage (CPE) — protects after-market equipment and safety riding apparel. Drive automatically provides $1,000 worth of CPE with Physical Damage Coverage but up to $30,000 may be purchased for additional premium.
The Progressive group of insurance companies, in business since 1937, is the nation's third largest auto insurance group. Agents and brokers can log in to Drive's agency-dedicated Web site, ForAgentsOnly.com (FAO), to access customer policies, state and countrywide news, and other interactive features.
