Progressive Becomes the Number One Auto Insurer in Rhode Island
MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio — August 16, 2004 —In 2003, the Progressive group of insurance companies became the number one writer of auto insurance in Rhode Island. The ranking, which is based on direct written premium for private passenger automobile policies, was recently released by A.M. Best Company in their 2004 A2 report. In 2002, Progressive was ranked number two in the state.
