Progressive Launches Spanish Version of Agent Locator on Web Site
Espanol.progressive.com Paves Another Avenue for Generating More Business for Independent Agents
MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio — July 10, 2002 —Progressive (NYSE: PGR), the country's largest writer of auto insurance through independent agents, today announced the launch of its new Spanish-language Web site, espanol.progressive.com. The site is designed to make it easier for Spanish-speaking consumers in the United States to obtain information about Progressive, including how to find a local, authorized Progressive independent agent.
The new site will help drive even more consumers to Progressive agents participating in the company's ProLeads® referral program. Consumers who visit espanol.progressive.com or progressive.com have the ability to get the names and contact information for up to five local authorized Progressive independent agents. When consumers enter their ZIP code and the product for which they want a quote, they are immediately presented with a list of agents in their area, the agents' contact information, and, if applicable, a link to each agent's Web site. Since its launch in May 2001, the ProLeads program has helped Progressive agents sell nearly 30,000 policies from referrals.
