Based on the results of these tests, the IIHS evaluates crashworthiness, assigning each vehicle an overall rating from good to poor.
The 2002 Honda CR-V, 2003 Subaru Forester and 2002 Saturn VUE all earned the Institute's highest rating of "good" overall with the CR-V and Forester receiving "best pick" designations. The 2002 Land Rover Freelander earned an overall rating of "acceptable."
